Amir’s journey began in the serene valleys of Kashmir, where his passion for storytelling sparked, and led him to the bustling streets of Mumbai, where his dreams took flight. Starting as a BMM student at Jai Hind College, he quickly immersed himself in the world of filmmaking, joining Crazy Few Films as an in-house Director’s Assistant. After his time there, he worked as a freelance DA, further refining his craft and gaining invaluable experience across various projects. These experiences laid the foundation for Pitch Perfekt, where he channels his love for creating powerful narratives and pitches.
Amir’s true ambition lies in directing films. While the commercial world has provided him with a playground to perfect his craft, his vision goes beyond advertising. He aspires to direct feature films that explore the depths of human emotion.

NIMISH POYREKAR

Co-Founder, Pitch Perfekt

“Nimish is like water—fluid and adaptable. Just as water takes the shape of any vessel, whether a cup, bottle, or teapot, he seamlessly adjusts to every challenge, always finding a way to rise above.”

Nimish’s love for storytelling is deeply rooted in his childhood, where his great-grandfather’s unique tradition of showing the latest films on a projector screen in the 1960s sowed the seeds of this passion. His journey began with late-night radio music sessions with his grandmother, who fueled his curiosity by narrating classic film scenes and sharing tales of legendary filmmakers, inspiring his deep dive into the world of cinema.

A Jai Hind College BMM graduate, Nimish initially aspired to be a professional choreographer, drawing on his training as a dancer with an impeccable sense of rhythm. However, his path shifted toward storytelling through filmmaking. Starting as a self-taught editor, Nimish gained a unique perspective by understanding filmmaking from the editing room before transitioning to on-set experiences. At Coconut Films, he refined his skills as a Director’s Assistant, working with diverse directors, and later freelancing, which deepened his storytelling acumen and interest in advertising.

By now, it’s evident that Nimish’s heart is set on directing. The commercial world is helping him shape his craft, but his true vision lies in creating a feature film that delves into the complexities of emotional landscapes. His musical sense and editing skills add that extra layer of finesse, just like the cherry on top.
